Just Us – July 2013

What a fun fun month its been!  I actually can’t believe it’s been 31 days already.

I just want to say that this Just Us Project is MUCH harder than it sounds.  But it’s importance to me is worth it, even if I sometimes feel like I’m going to cry trying to get my kids to take a decent freakin’ picture with me!  I mean really.  Kids are the most amazingly beautiful subjects and yet equally the most frustrating.  I am so glad to be doing this though.  It reminds me all the time that I need to hand over my Canon and sit on the other side of the glass occasionally.  Otherwise my kids may look back and wonder ‘where the heck was my mom?’  So, here’s a sample of one of those frustratingly perfect evenings with my family on my middle’s birthday where we can’t seem to get anyone to cooperate.  Instead of snapping the perfect shot, we ended up capturing a slice of our life as we are living it today with 3 goofball kids!

Yep, this looks (and sounds) about right. It is hard, isn’t it? But yes, so worthwhile, way to stick with it!
