So happy to be heading back to one of my favorite places this weekend. We are psyched to expose our kids to all the fun, music, and freedom Strawberry has to offer. From the Main Stage to Birch Lake and everywhere in between live music will be all around us. And what better place to enjoy but right outside Yosemite Valley. Ah, the stars. The stars.
This year I’m especially looking forward to some fantastic tributes to Woody Guthrie. This summer would have been Woody’s 100th birthday. He was most known for his prolific songwriting. It is said that he wrote over 3,000 songs. His music was often called “the people’s songs,” the most famous being “This Land is Your Land.” If you have young children you should pick up one of Woody’s children’s CDs. Your family will treasure them.
This Labor Day Weekend Woody’s granddaughter, Sarah Lee Guthrie and partner Johnny Irion will be performing. They are sure to be a treat.
