This week’s favorites have the kids in mind. Simple pleasures for your kids to enjoy right now. What are you up to this weekend? Whatever you do I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
My family will pretty much eat anything they can dip in chocolate! Not to mention roll in toppings. We make this treat with dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chocolate chips, white chocolate, whatever happens to be in the cupboard. You can just as easily swap any fruit for the bananas too. The kids were so thrilled when they saw the frozen fruit vendor at the music festival we were at over Labor Day weekend. Frozen fruit, chocolate + toppings = very happy kids.
I’m slowly but surely finishing up the update to my kids’ rooms. These are two more pieces for my youngest daughter’s room. I found the Chevron Ikat pillows last week in NYC. Her room is mostly white and navy with a pop of purple. The scalloped sheets are from Garnet Hill. The softest sheets I’ve ever felt. She is one lucky little girl. And I’m one step closer to finishing her room. Yes!
Love a good joke? Me too. My 6 and 9 year olds think they are pretty funny. To keep up with them, I memorized a couple of these. Have fun with this.
From the time my oldest was a toddler, tape has always been a favorite toy. {Hint: I used to bring it on plane trips too! It provided hours, atleast minutes, of quiet entertainment} You might be surprised that colored masking tape could hold their attention for long, but it does! And it grows with them. Now that toddler is now 9 and continues to find uses for it. Add a cardboard box. Done for the afternoon.
This is the best new product I’ve found in a long time. These little lights are so strong and SO cute! We do a lot of biking. Now that the days are getting shorter we all need to have a bike light. They always seem to break those that attach with a plastic grip. These lights are made from light stretchy silicone that goes on strong and stays in place. {sorry, that sounds like a commercial for something else!} They come in a rainbow of colors too!
Have a fun first weekend of Fall.
