Since starting this blog, I have been wanting to attend a blog conference to learn more about blogging and to connect with other bloggers. Getting away to a conference is a bit difficult so you can imagine my thrill when Alt Summit announced Alt for Everyone. Last week, I was able to “attend” several online classes and hook up with talented bloggers while learning some new skills, refining current ones, and meeting all kinds of inspired new virtual friends and bloggers.
The online conference thing is new to me. Having been a stay at home mom for the last 10 years, let’s just say things have changed a bit in the tech world. I attended classes on graphic design, photo styling, and social media. I learned that online conferencing is an incredible mulit-tasking feat! Listening, screen shooting {is that a word?}, note taking, live chatting, phew. Good thing I’m pretty good at it, because my mind was spinning with all the new info. I’m so excited about connecting you with all the new blogger friends soon too! You will be hearing more about some of them in the coming weeks.
I spent the weekend digesting all the words + ideas. Thanks for understanding my absence last week. It’s not like me to be so darn quiet!
A Big thanks to Alt Summit and Bing! Looking forward to Alt SF. Anyone joining me?
Gla you had fun so did I! Great to meet you and can’t wait to start following your blog!
