Every year, my whole life, my birthday has seemed like a bust! 3 days after Christmas, 2 days before the biggest party of the year and friends and family scattered around the world visiting loved ones. Bumm-er.
But this year, for whatever reason, it has also occurred to me that with a birthday at the end of the year comes the perfect opportunity to look back on the year {or all 40 of them} and give thanks for precious moments and people that have graced my life. Because it is also my 40th birthday, I have been especially aware and bound by each of the people + places that I have met along the way. I have already received the 3 most treasured gifts of my life, my kids. I am such a lucky momma that my heart may explode. I can’t believe I get to share my life with these little guys and my amazing husband. My sweet friends and family know just how to make a gal feel special on her big day. And a BIG thank you to all my readers that have made the first 6 months of A Bowl Full of Simple such a tremendous journey.
40 is definitely fabulous.
